Because we hoist our dinghy two feet out of the water each night there are a couple of wear points where the dinghy meets Bay Pelican's hull. I would like to add an additional layer of material at these points. I can use hypalon which with two patches and the glue will cost about $60 US.

Question is whether another cheaper rubber material will stick to the hypalon using another glue. Any suggestions?

Plan B...Gorilla Tape (frugal - removable - tough - tenacious).

That is actually what I just did the other day.

But plan "A" is still a hypalon patch or eliminate the wearpoint.

I do have some clear duct tape...thought about that to.

In light use for several days...the gorilla tape has worked fine...be careful of the edges catching the wearing offender.

I don't know if you have a dealer near you who sells hypalon Dinghies, but that is where I would start.
