My wife and I want to rent a boat next year for about a week. I want my wife to get a feel of what it would be like to spend time on a trawler style boat for the great loop. I though. there were some places in the Bellingham area that have this service. We are looking at boats like the Camano 31, Ranger tug 29 ect.

Thanks
Pete

Northwest Explorations is the premier power boat charter operation in Bellingham but has Grand Banks and other brands bigger than what you're seeking. I personally don't know of anyone offering boats like Ranger Tugs or Camanos for charter here. Maybe try San Juan Sailing, which has some smaller power boats available.

Old lady Foss use to rent boats in Tacoma.

Anacortes Yacht Charters has the best selection of power boats in the PNW. And they are a top notch charter company.

Anacortes Yacht Charters

Anacortes Yacht Charters has a Ranger 27, two Ranger 29's, and two Cutwater 30's.

Ship Harbor Yacht Charters in Anacortes has one Ranger 27 (mine).

Between Anacortes and Bellingham, LOTS to choose from. But make your reservations early. By April many of the good boats/weeks are snapped up.

We have rented from San Juan Sailing. Very good customer service. They do training. Also have guided flotillas.

Another Canadian option (just a bit north of Bellingham) is Cooper Boating. Unless things have changed, they operate out of 3 locations (Vancouver at Granville Island, Sydney on Vancouver Island, and Powell River on the Sunshine Coast). Colin Jackson, the owner, is a standup, good guy.
The San Juan and Gulf Islands can be easily accessed from the 2 southern locations, and Desolation Sound, the Sunshine Coast and points north can be accessed from Powell River. Lots of options. However, the smallest power boats they have are CHB 35, Grand Banks 36, and Carver 404.
