HAVE Folks with washing machines and dishwashers found any brand to be easy to winterize ?

Draining would be best ,

air blow worries me as there are so many passages and electric valves.

THE pink AF goop will dry out and harden if not wet at all times.

Anyone find any good draining units?

I used the pink stuff when I had a washer on the aft deck. Ran a bunch through the lines and poured more inside. Don't recall which brand it was...just a small apartment type.

We use the RV antifreeze every year on washers, dishwashers etc. didn't dry out or harden for us. As far as draining, we just run them empty once and all is clear.

I just dewinterized my boat last weekend. When I left it 6 mo ago the toilet was half full of about 50/50 RV antifreeze. When I looked at it Sunday a fitting had leaked a little antifreeze and it puddled below the toilet. It was semi-liquid as all of the water had evaporated but it easily wiped up with a wet sponge.

So drain your washer, pump a couple of gallons of RV antifreeze through it and you will be fine next spring when you rinse it out.
