Truly flexible solar cells on fabric are here

The innovators: portable solar panels that can be unrolled like a carpet | Business | The Guardian
So flexible these microgrids can be rolled up and stored in a steel cylinder.

Some day maybe for the roof of the boat, instead of Bimini canvas, solar power.
Although who knows how efficient this one is. I keep wondering if the efficiency will get into the 60% or higher range.

50,000-100,000 pounds sterling for a 6,000 watt system. That is $10-20 per watt. Typical on grid home systems are installed for about $4 per watt in the US.

It is more expensive, for now.

New technology is always more expensive when introduced, but the cost of manufacturing goes down later on when production increases.
