Ok havn't set mine up yet but the way I envisage it is this.
The fish will be on s/s 8 mm chain with a swivel at the fish end.
Once set the chain will have a s/s bolt at the trawl block to set the depth.
From the end of the chain I will use normal rope for retrieval.
The top stay and forward stay for the arms will be Dynema (Dynex) 8 or 10 mm and these are of a fixed length, the aft stay is a fixed s/s arm.
The trawl block is suspended from the end of the arms using a 2 eyed length of 3/4" nylon ( approx. 18" long). This will act as the shock absorber instead of using springs.
Retrieval will be with a lazy line and a small winch on either side.

In the s/s chain hangers I will have a weak spot so that they will let go and not rip the arms out.
Once I get to set it up I will submit some pictures.

I placed a rubber muffler mount inline with the amsteel and it reduce the noise vibration by 80% . The amsteel show no sign of wear after 14 hrs of use. I will change my forward and aft guide lines in the spring to amsteel so far I like the line.

Hi all,

My installation started yesterday, first with the pcv mock up and today with the Al Tube. i will make some pictures as we go along. Also will be using 8mm Dynema (or its generic) for the forward and upper stays.
