Sewage hose very odd question...

Greetings,
Without going into too much detail from this end, how does the white hose most everyone uses for their head and holding tank installations react when in contact with gasoline or gasoline vapors for prolonged periods of time. This will NOT be used in a marine application!

Attack the question from another angle. The white sanitation hose is PVC (I think). White PVC pipe is fine for sanitation, too.

Googling this subject will be both revealing and confusing. Apparently, some PVC hoses are OK for gasoline. Probably lots of formulations of PVC, some more suitable for some things than others.

Flexible PVC is a completely different product than hard PVC...and not all hard PVC is the same...there's sched 40, sched 80...ABS.

If you're referring to the cheapest white hose that permeates in a heartbeat, it's #148 flexible PVC...it'll lsoak up petroleum faster than it soaks up sewage...and the last thing you need are gasoline vapors in any enclosed area. Pick up some hose that's rated to carry gasoline from an auto parts store.
