MarQuipt tender lift question. How to change the cable?

I have looked everywhere for information on how to change the lift cable on the tender deck crane but drawn a blank. I would like to convert to amsteel rope in the process.

I understand in principle how the crane works however I don’t see an easy way to change the rope although I have read it is a simple task. Any help appreciated.

I will also put a call into MarQuipt next week.

Is it a GoLO electric winch? Common on many but not all old Marquipts.

They are very helpful so call them if that is your winch and the manual doesn't make it for you.
