Mainship 430 Marine Air Conditioning Pan Rustout

The condensation pan under the 16K Marine Air A/C machine in the salon is rusted out because the drain is in the side of the pan - not the bottom, so there has always been some water left in it. The A/C works OK, but the unit is starting to smell. The boat is a 2002 and the A/C machine is built in under a cabinet and corian counter top with the only apparent access through the air intake grill (approx 12" square).
Has anyone found a way to get the machine out without disassembling the cabinet and teak wall panelling so the pan can be replaced before it completely falls apart ?
