Intermittent wipers.

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Many years ago, on a tug in Alaska I had self parking wipers that put the arms, and blades in a nearly horizontal position.
After the second or third set were destroyed by heavy seas, the engineer, and I rewired them so they could be parked vertically. No more problems.

Why not just turn the wiper intermittent knob to off, ie full speed-no delay position, then manually park it like you do now..?

Yes, that would work. I'm not the guy wanting intermittent wipers though. It's never been more than an inconvenience for me.

Took some pics today of my unusual ground copper tubing wire of port and center wiper motors. Center window opens. Copper tube is for windshield washing.

Right now, all 3 wiper motors run out of sync, which is annoying.
So putting all 3 on the delay timer, they will sweep together as one.

I really doubt any boats today have such a copper washer tubing setup?
