whats the difference between the 500, and the 500-p?

I have the 500, and when I tried to clean off the basket the other day, it kind of took flight with the force of the water hose and ended up at the bottom of Galveston Bay. Looking at replacing the original metal basket with the poly one and just want to make sure it fits.

Yes the plastic basket will replace either the stainless or monel baskets. The openings are a little larger but I’ve never heard of anyone having a problem because of it.

The part number is BP-1.

The second link takes you to a strainer with British threads. I feel safe in saying a Chris Craft is very unlikely to have British threads on anything.

You'd be correct, except its not an original strainer. LOL It's an ebay special that I found.

I found the poly basket at West Marine locally. Thanks! I hate schematic drawings.
