Window Gaskets

Attached are pics of my starboard door window, inside and out. I need to replace the gaskets in them but can't find anything on them stating where they were made. So, any ideas on homemade gaskets? Maybe just use a good sealing compound? The old*gaskets look like rubber and appear pretty thin. The window is in 2 parts and screws pull the halves together forming a seal inside and out. All help appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Window Gaskets

Today the assembly would be done with butyl tape on a roll.

Stick it in place , pull off the paper backing and install the second part.

At your friendly RV store. Cheap too.Various widths and thickness .

RE: Window Gaskets

Mike,
One of our customers in Baton Rouge builds metal doors for marine applications, and I bet they install windows at times. Call me if you want and I will give you Lee's cell number. He has a Biloxi Lugger and loves taking boats.

RE: Window Gaskets

Butyl rubber tape from a glass house or what I was sold from the RV place next door (glass shop sent me there) was grey in colour. Sorry, no name but I'll bet the RV places will know when you tell them what you want it for.
