I have an old Princess 3 burner stove with oven which has stopped working. We bought a replacement stove, only to realize it's the 240 version. What do I need to do to change this to 110? Is this something I need to hire an electrician for? I am currently at a dock, but would also like to be able to run this with our generator.

If you strike out on the 240 volt Princess, Force 10 makes a 110 v drop-in replacement for your Princess. I installed one a year ago and am very happy with it. Sure Marine in Seattle can give you all the details but I'm sure there are Florida dealers.

It won't be easy to convert from 220 to 110V. You will probably have to replace all of the heating elements/burners in the stove/oven. And even then the wiring may not be big enough for 110V.

Rigging your boat with a 220V circuit will probably be just as tough. Your generator can probably be wired for 220/110V but you will also need a new shore power connection, breakers, etc. And some marinas only have 110V power.

Not an easy problem to fix. I would sell the 220V one and buy a 110V.
