Main Salon Table

After much consideration and numerous issues with it, I have decided to remove the table from my main salon on my 1974 Marine Trader Double Cabin 34. I am considering replacing it with a double ottoman that has a reversible top. It will convert to seating or a table as needed and is the same height as my "L" seating making it a nice foot rest as well. The ottoman also have storage in it.

I do not have the port side bench as I added a bar including a kegerator, wine fridge, and additional cabinet (picture attached) so the ottoman would give me two additional seats.

Any thoughts on the ottoman idea?
