That dredge deal is back.

Just tryin a video. So mods if the file is too large or if the vid is an issue just make it go away.

But a little look at one very big wet dry vac. Or suction dredge as its called. Some may have seen these in action but some might get a kick out of a small one. Not many around here any more.

Takes five trailer loads to transport it around on the ground. Yup it comes apart for transport.

Hydros powerd by a John Deer, but the dredge pump or vac is powered by an 871 T told to be in the 500 hp plus area. It keeps life around here as a live aboard just we bit interesting and well busy. Movin docks and boats around.

Yup it can and has sucked up some interesting stuff off the bottom. Like a plow anchor and chevy manifold to rocks and gets bound up with crab traps electrical cable sani hose etc. Some folk just dont get that our water ways are not trash cans but what ever.

Nibble unit , not what I would realy expect.

How do you stand that racket? Dredging now going on in our marina is much, much quieter.

Looks like the video took ? At least the sound did

Mark I love the sound of a detroit in the morn and I also love the smell of two stroke in the morn Yup I am a little different for sure. But Mark keep in mind this is the only sun we have had in like for ever. So I am the only guy around that might take offence to the noise.

Its well

I am adding in a few pics as well with the barge that opens up and dumps and the pipe that moves the silt. Along with a couple of pics of the hoover.

I love the deep rumble of my John Deere and the splash of wet exhaust. But that dredger's pump sound is something else.
