I'm 70 and have been using bug zapping lights since they came out, exploding bugs don't seem to affect my health.

I have 2 large lights, placed at opposite ends of the boat. They cut 90% of the bug problem, even in Alaska. If I anchor in one spot for a couple weeks or more, the bug populations appears to drop substantially.

Works great to keep away noseeums on a screen porch or screened-in cockpit in SW Florida:

We buy the 8-oz jetboil fuel can; seems more stable than the 16 oz.
