My boat is a 2006 Mainship 34T.

Has anyone who had this electronic throttle on their boat, any make, had it fail so that it needed to be replaced, and that solved the problem?

If so, please share what symptoms you were experiencing that led you to replace it and what other remedies you tried first, if any.

I know that a number of these were replaced by Mainship owners with manual units when there were problems with the relay that Mainship installed; I am not interested in those instances.

Thanks.

Hi Harlen,

I had the control head in the flybridge fail due to water intrusion (lot's of rain). The symptoms I experienced typically were not finding or staying in neutral while docking. Kind of unnerving to look down and wonder why the dock is moving by so fast when you think your're stopped.
