John, You are probably right.
A trawler is a vessel that tows fishing gear (nets) to catch fish , prawns etc My take is a Troller is a trolling boat with lines for catching fish such as salmon etc.
There fore we own motor boats or vessels that are either either coastal cruisers or passagemakers depends where you take it.
In Aus a lot of boats similar to my own are ex trawlers and have been converted to pleasure, my own boat was purpose built to cruise the Aussie coast and the closer countries like Indonesia , PNG etc.

"Trawler" is a marketing term for a type of recreational vessel, its meaning morphed by whim.

Both Chapman and the USPS*label my*fuel-efficient,*heavy displacement, hull-speed maximum, passenger-facilitated vessel a traweler.* That's good enough for me.
