For you lovers of all things Willard...

My inlaws have owned this 2001 Willard 40 for more than 12 years or so now. They purchased it new on the east coast and have had a blast cruising it everywhere from New England to Florida with a large part of the great loop thrown in. The boat has been for sale for about 1 year now with a couple of buyers almost but not quite pulling the trigger. For whatever reason (????) the listing broker never felt it was important to put any interior pictures up of the yacht. We decided that perhaps if we took some he might get around to it...

Thought I'd share.
Bruce

It is not our boat, but rather my inlaws...
I'm sure it will sell and in fact I believe it is heading for survey.
I believe it is one of the last of the Willard 40's though and thought people might enjoy seeing it.

Sorry that beauty wasn't available when I was looking. The Willard 40 was on our short list of monohulls. Really a nice vessel.

Beautiful boat, I am a fan but asking 40k over market. Would have sold fast at market price.

I am surprised you suggest it is only $40 over. I would have guessed that it is at least $100 over.

No surprise there has been little interest at that price, but all it takes is one party who falls in love.

"40k over" is based on the very highest end of soldboats.com

Bruce B - No interior pictures on YW is somewhat surprising. But it's real shame there are no pictures of her beautiful bottom. (perhaps my favourite trawler hull)

I've looked at the Yachtworld ad many times, and wondered why there were not more pictures of this unique vessel. Thanks for posting.

I've never understood the brokers position on this listing. Of course he is not my broker and I have no say in the matter! He did sell their previous boat and he did a good job then so...

The boat is a great boat and I believe it is one of the last made. Somebody will get a hell of a boat!

I did a little aerial video of the boat this morning and posted it on YouTube. Nothing fancy, but shows a little more of the boat. My parents will be sad to see her go, but the time has come.
