Hi all...

During the water tank replacement and laz repaint I discovered that there is a hull leak back at the rudder stock...

Now the leak is relatively small with the quantity of water seen in the picture collecting over the course of two weeks...

But what bothers me is the leaking water is tinted tan and brown - as if there is wood embeded in that base.

Presumably during a future haul-out the melting wood can be cut out and the area can be rebuilt with all-fiberglass.

This would be an example of why all-fiberglass hulls are better - even 30-years on.

BTW - there is another place where water is leaking from that rudder-stock-block... this on the starboard side... don't like any leak.
