Hawgwash, Where do the lines go? do they exit the transom or go to the rudder cylinder?

mramoo, you know as much as me. It's a picture from a listing of a boat I've yet to see.

Broker says it is a davit pump.

So, congratulations to;

Portage Bay & Bob Cofer

You can go to any Angerman's or Iggy Biggy, tell them Capt Bill sent you and claim your free bilge wipes.

HW, is this a boat that you are considering? If so, what is it?

Nice looking boat. I really like the large covered aft cockpit. Great for the PNW

We'll see.
In that case that is what it's more likely for.

Never mind, I see you found out for sure.

Ski has to go 50/50 with me on the wipes.

Another reason not to trust a boat salesman. There are no hyd davits on that boat. Check out all the pictures; both units are electrical, aft unit may be mechanical. As previously mentioned the unit in question is the hyd pump and controller/proportioning valves for the steering; note the location adjacent to the port rudder. Have a similar unit on my boat.

Now that's funny.
Here is the email exchange I had with the broker.

Me:
Good morning.
What is this picture in listing 4340 (53 CC)?
Davit pump?
Steering pump?
AP?
Something else?

He:
I think the picture is a davit pump

Thanks Cormac.

Yeah, 'cause we still don't know for sure.
Need to look with my own eyes, I guess.

Let's see if the broker gets back to me...

Well, Cormac, most of the boys think you are mistaken.
Can we get Andy to weigh in on this one?
I hate to spend $200 on travel just to look for myself.
Don't take this thing personal, we're just having some fun here.
-----------------
A bit later, his response;
I am away right now
Andy thought it was the same thing
I will ask the owner when I get back

I'd say neither of these listing brokers have been aboard the thing. Not unusual around here.
