With an original price tag of $15 million, this 105' Navy vessel, built by Lockheed Martin, is goin' for only $180,000. "Sea Slice" is powered by a pair of MTU's and has a "pedal to the metal" of 30 knots. The fuel tanks hold 11,112 gals. of diesel. The vessel sleeps 12 but only has one head, has a galley with a reefer and a nuke oven. Sounds like a buy at a 98.9% discount from the original cost to build the thing.

Sell it to a drug lord. It looks purpose-built. And we generally use our tax dollars to aggravate whatever problem we are trying to solve, so this seems a perfect fit :)

Wonder if they marked the location of the Travelift sling positions.

Rest assured that price is quite negotiable. They're looking at the cost of maintaining it and the potential cost of scrapping it.

What about the anchor shackle? That should be good enough for it's own thread.

Chain vs Rope?

Well if it's galley down its got my vote!

Offer it to the Australian Defence Materiel (not a spelling error) Office. They`ve bought rusted ships from the US Navy, they`d love it, might even want to pay more than the ask.
