Welcoming 2 new Moderators

First off, I want to say thank you to the membership for participating in Trawlerforum and for all practical purposes, participating in a civilized manner. *It makes moderating this forum a relatively easy task. *As most of you know, Doug and I travel and work a great deal so it is not always easy for us to be on here every day. *Every now and then some Spam gets through and thanks to the membership, we are notified of it in a timely manner and nip it in the bud in relative short order. *Anyway, for those gaps in time we are not on here, we have felt the need to appoint a couple of folks that were willing to help and also have been around for awhile that have a good feel for the spirit and culture of this forum. *And not only that, have contributed greatly to all of the topics and are avid and enthusiastic trawler folks.

We would like to introduce GonzoF1(Tom) and Woodsong(Tony) as our 2 new moderators. *As most of you know, as stated above, they are on here daily and have a great deal of interest in trawlering. *Thanks to the membership, this forum runs quite smoothly. *This will just give it a little more smoothness when Doug and I are unable to be around to take care of those pesky spammers and the VERY rare instance where some folks might need a little arbitration/mediation to get past a dispute. *Anyway, please welcome them aboard as moderators!!!!

*

Thanks,*

The management

Thanks -- to both Doug and John for their efforts in making this the most sane discussion group I have ever seen, but also to Tom and Tony for taking on their new roles.

RE: Welcoming 2 new Moderators

Glad to help guys. What Baker does not yet know is that this is all part of my sinsister master plan to overthrow both he and Doug but before I implement that I will now have to deal with Tom first and ban him from the forums! hahaha!

I do want you all to know though that i have been REALLY studying how to properly handle my duties as moderator:

RE: Welcoming 2 new Moderators

As a relative newcomer, and still on the hard, dreaming about trawlering, I want to thank all 4 of you now. This forum is such a wealth of information (and sometimes mis-information in OTDE*) and it is incredibly sane for message board which is a testament to the moderators work and the community at large. *I participate in several message boards on other topics and they often degrade into useless idle banter.

Please keep up the good, no great work!

and pray for my windfall so I can join you on the water!!!

*We'll know that happens when the picture "letterhead" changes to include Tony's boat.

Welcoming 2 new Moderators

This is the first forum I have been actively a part of and truly appreciate the hard work all of you put into it. Because of all of you, and of course the membership, I plan on staying active and hopefully will be able to contribute in a positive and helpful manner. Keep up the great work and I also hope to be joining you on the water. I have decided to go back to school so our plans of getting a trawler are on the back burner for now, but it is for the best. Sail safe and again, thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. Welcome to the new moderators!

Congrats to half of you for a job well done (and a good decision on new Moderators), and the other half for your seductive rise to power.

Don, Just an FYI, large and frequent gifts of rum left on my trawler will go a long way to make sure you stay in the moderators good social graces!!!!

Does this mean that I can no longer say that another poster is so ugly if he were my dog I would shave his rear end and teach him to walk backwards?

Not sure I like this development.....

#1: I fixed the links per your request!

#2: Don't make me ban you! *Baker explained to me how you are on very thin ice and with the slightest infraction I should just go ahead and give you the boot (his words, not mine!!!!! *I promise!!). *However, I am a, generally speaking, gracious moderator, so I hereby shall give you one more chance! *
