weather fax, my new discovery

This will not be new to many of you, but it is for me.

I just bought a $5 app for my iPhone that receives wx faxes, using only an audio path (no wires) That is, you hold the phone near your SSB and the fax plots out on the phone display, and is saved automatically, and is available for printing, or just viewing on the screen. very cool when no internet is available, like when offshore and all you have is your SSB and a non-networked phone/iPad. Sound card is not required.

My first plot was from 6338 kHz, just a few minutes ago. NOAA surface analysis of the N. Atlantic.

Good post. I downloaded a free program for Windows that does this as well. Computer is on the bote, so sorry I can't share the name at present. Located with quick search.
