I've heard a lot of great things about the Wallas Diesel Cooktops and Heaters, but I haven't found much real world info on their ovens.

I am primarily interested in the 86D. This is the standalone oven and not the combo unit.

Does anyone have experience with this?

The good, bad, and ugly?

I have thought about one of those, but the combo unit. No experience with that, but I’ve had the cooktop stove/heater on a old boat, and now have three of the forced air furnaces on my current boat. Great, reliable products!

Another long term Wallas heater fan. The owners of Scan Marine are great- they know their products, and service on site (Bill, the tech, is world class).

Just sold our 40DT to a board member, and Scan Marine is going thru the unit at no cost except parts to make sure it’s 100% for the new owner.

The replacement? The Wallas Spartan.

Yes. I have the cook top and the 86D oven. I've been quite satisfied with both. If I had any reservation at all, it would be that the oven is a bit slow to heat. It is limited to 225 degrees Celsius, but I've found that adequate.

It is also small; you won't be doing your thanksgiving turkey, but perhaps 3 or 4 rock Cornish hens would suffice.

I heat and cook with diesel. No propane, no generator.
