The vinyl covered overhead on my 1982 34 MT DC is original . not drooping or wrinkled-- looks smooth and intact. However it is kind of discolored with age and might have had some mildew years ago. A friend suggested I just paint it . I wonder if mildew resistant white Kiltz primer of the Acrylic type would work well?? Anyone done this?

Hi,

The seat part (under) had a hole of 1 x 0.5cm and I painted it the whole section. In the exact view, the patch is noticed because there is no pattern of skin, but the painting succeeded 100% as shown in the picture. I would remember seeing my own paint and cleaning agents in the vinyl so I think you can do this work yourself. I had a painting with the aid of a sponge, but when making large surfaces, a spray gun or the like is better.

Sutiable for real leather and artifical leather like vinyl.. Here is my little perfect repair kit, patchwork and painting + tools.
