Useless question of the day, maybe summer.

There is a slang term, sometimes used here in reference to a collision or near collision. I think it might even be a female name(?).
I wanted to use it but a search went nowhere.

Maybe to carry it a little further and make for some fun, what are some other unusual slangs? Like poopdeck and doghouse.

Some falsely call it a near miss (it was a miss). The correct term would be a near hit.

Thanks Ted.
Right after I posted, I found it here; Nautical Dictionary, Glossary and Terms directory: Search Results
"Allision"
So, where does that come from?

Sheesh, I keep answering my own question.
"Where does that come from?"
G Captain answered it for me.

MY problem was, I never read it with the second "i" so was seeing Allison.
Sheesh, again.
