Two prong on dashboard

I found a two prong connector on the dashboard at the helm. I was wondering if anyone knows what it might be for?
The boat is a 45' 1990 Aquarius motor yacht.

Thanks
Henry

Hope the picture come out

Greetings,
Mr. hf. Have you put a VOM in to check for voltage? Have you looked behind the helm to attempt to trace the wires that could be connected to it? Upper helm or lower?

Thanks, I plan on pulling the panel to trace it out. It is the upper helm

Probably a 12v feed for something like a handheld spotlight.
