Trawlers in NC

Hi,

New member to the forum, joining as my wife and I begin looking for a used trawler in the 36-40' range. We are long time sailors including one year living aboard and exploring the NC sounds and the Chesapeake Bay.

I am hoping that through the forum we can contact owners of similar sized boats located in NC who would be willing to show us their boats and explain their likes and dislikes.

I am ~3 years from retirement and we intend to spend extended time living aboard.

Thanks,

Hi Gene...

Bess and I sold our trawler about 10 months ago after 5 years (long story), but had a trawler very similar to what you are shopping for (Just ask Firefly... He saw it). We live in Cary and would be HAPPY to sit and talk about boats with you. Added bonus is we live in Cary.

If you are interested in chatting up an evening about trawlers, we love to talk about our experiences, come to Cary and we can grab a few beers at Fortnight Brewery or we can come to Big Boss in Raleigh.

PM me and we will try to get together.

Tom,

Tried to send a PM but I am not sure that I did it correctly. We would really appreciate the chance to talk with you and meeting at Fortnight would be good.

Thanks,

Gene & Debra Prather
