As to the classics riding bow down I'm sure it's a matter of the forward cabin and tanks not full. I can run dry and keep a nice trim but the aft cabins need that extra ballast in the aft section. No worries.
It must be an empty tank condition. Here's a pic of Willy early in the spring w enpty water tanks. Willy's only a 30' boat and she carries 100 gallons of water all the way aft. This pic was taken early in the spring on a year that I pickled the boat leaving her water tanks empty. You can clearly see she's bow down in this picture. And in this picture I think I'm at WOT which should push her bow up a bit too. Don't like to be in following seas w a light stern so I keep those water tanks full.
