Exclamation

Sometimes I have needed a metric socket or wrench because the crusty bolt would not take what should have been the correct SAE.

One thing I did on a boat I worked on was cut the plastic tool box in two. Closing the lid would almost always result in the allen wrenches and one particular pair of pliers falling/prohibiting closure. Now there are two trays in a drawer accessible from the engine room.

I did ask incidentally. Fortunately the owner trusted me, and since then it's been right useful.

Though this is not perfect, if you're having similar difficulties with one knife you can solve it.

Nothing seems to fit it. I’d like to find a socket but neither 21 or 22 work. My friend said to use a 6 sided type socket rather than 12 and can’t find it at auto part store. Any suggestions besides buying a boat with a Lehman?
I've bought a few 6-sided on eBay...
I paint mine with pink nail polish. That way they Always come home.

In addition to the quality tools, I carry a complete set of harbor freight wrenches, a 6 inch vise that is not bolted down and an angle of grinder. That way I have a backup wrench for everything and can cut or grind a shorty or thin wrench for some one off need.
