Tight Fit for a cruise ship!

A friend of mine sent this link to me and I thought it was cool how the cruise ship appears to have made it through the Corinth canal. They said "it would be a memorable cruise" but what would have happened had they hit something below the waterline. At least it wouldn't capsize...

I don't feel like being towed thru there should really count. But hey... what do I know?

I would imagine they have bow and stern thrusters to keep off the walls. Still very impressive!

The ships engines are also used, the tug & towing bridle is used to keep the bow centered.

Also the hydraulic pressure that forms on either side of the hull helps
keep the vessel centered.

Almost as impressive as a 700' Laker going through the locks on the Welland Canal with 1' on ea. side.
