Obviously no one taught them how to read tide tables. Last night's 13 foot tide and the nest floated away, swan and 8 eggs on it. One of the live-aboard fellows lassoed it and secured it behind his boat. Hopefully the nest stays together until the eggs hatch. Evidently this happens to this pair every year.
