Looking for rough idea of cost for paint job on 36' Kadey-Krogen Manatee. Have no idea what extra prep work will be needed, just looking for some idea of cost.

7 years ago, we were quoted $35k for a lower hull repaint (rubrail down) on our PT-52.

2 years ago I was quoted $34k for shearline up, prep, Awlgrip, for my Viking 43. This was from the yard I wanted to do the work - first class in all respects.
I wound up doing a fair amount of the fairing (bodywork) myself. Hired a guy with a couple of hands who did the surface prep and rolled & tipped in Awlgrip for a little more than $8k. Produced a good solid 10' paint job.

Last year we painted our boat. I did all the glass work and prep work. I hired a local painter to spray the boat. He charged $960.00 to spray the boat. All in was about $3500. He said if he had done all the glass work and prep he would have charged around $25K.
