That's what it looks like to me, too. The new 2 story building.

My bad. Not the yacht club but the Halifax Harbor Marina next door.
Some people asked us if we wanted to join this week but I'm not sure of the benefit.

The food. We have stayed there a couple of times, and the food was good both times. They are Florida Council of Yacht Club members, so you get one free night at any other member club. We more that paid our YC dues with that. You can go all around Florida staying one night at YCs. Plus if you want to stay longer YC dockage is usually a good deal. They probably have a long waiting list for their slips, but slip rental long term is also usually a good deal.

If you do much cruising, a FCYC member club can be a good deal.

Guess I should investigate into it further. Thanks.
BTW, the waiting list for a slip is very long plus I was surprised that you don't have to be a boat owner to join.

Cruised south to test some new gear late Friday afternoon and took this one from our anchorage which apparently was the hole in the donut for Miami last night.

Agree about the food. Halifax has always been good, as is Key Biscayne YC. Like Moonstruck, we have been a member of FCYC clubs for the past ten years. (Coral Ridge and Florida). The other bennies of membership is fairly liberal reciprocity from clubs around the world.
You might consider the Florida Yacht Club. Always have berths available and the membership rates for distant members is incredibly affordable.

Essex, CT after the storm 7/31/13
This is my first post after joining. I've been lurking for awhile. I hope I'll be able to contribute to the discussions. We just returned from a two week cruise on the Long Island Sound. Lots of "weather" so I thought I'd attach one from our stay in Essex, CT. I hope it's attached.....
