My B'day last year-sunrise in Pelican Bay just south of Boca Grande inlet

Sunset the night before

Sunrise after a ROUGH night anchored out at Picnic Is. between Sanibel and St James city--notice the flybridge awning rolled up!

We got up that morning and dinghied over to Cayo Costa and had the entire beach to ourselves for about 2 hours- just us the Kill-Dees, fiddler crabs, and sea gulls. I'm not a beach person, but under those conditions.......sign me up! If you squint real hard, that cloud looks like a genie's lamp-obviously my first wish was already granted that day!

Sunset was closing fast on our way home from that outing. Even though there was a rainbow I was really wishing we'd have stayed put one more night right about then!

Combining wildlife and sunset in the shot was a great idea, Mahal.

Red, that hazy pink horizon looks ominous-"The Fog!"

Don, although Pelican Bay isn't a Wow, for me it certainly is an Ahhh.

I hope I can get my boat back together before all the cool snaps are over so we can enjoy it before the heat sets in.

Al, I can see why that is your favorite. I have never seen colors like that. Spectacular!

For Twisted, the Pelican Bay shot is not a great sunset shot, but evokes memories of pleasant nights at anchor. The most pleasant part of boating. Hope you get back out there. The Quarter Cove shot is the same for me. It takes me back.

During most of the summer, the sun sets perfectly through the rear door of our PT41. Same spot, never the same view.

Great shots everyone.
This one was from a few years ago. We were coming through Welcome Pass in BC and just about to pass Pender Harbour and enter the South end of Agamemnon channel.

And another from nearly the same spot either a year before or after.
