Ok - so I have looked through Yachtworld, craigslist and Google search. Looking for a
2/twin stateroom
1990 or newer
Sedan or pilothouse with walk in salon/cockpit
Powered with Cummins/CAT (might look at others if the pricing/list is close)
needs to be able to go above hull speed either planing or semi-planing say cruise around 14-17 would be great (while most of the time I'll be at hull speed 8 knots or so the ability to get to the destination is going to be important!)
Little to no needed cosmetic fixes, lots of the boats I have looked at need significant gel coat repairs, wood restored, etc. No major projects, well kept and ready to begin using would be preferred. Don't need updated electronics.
These are the brands I'd like to stay away from Bayliner, Sea Ray, Silvertons (while these are great boats for what they were designed for the interiors don't appeal to us)
We're more attracted to the Ocean Alexander (or similar finishes) our budget maxes out at about 200k. Any suggestions for sale by owner etc would be great!
