Stablizing sails

Welcome Windsong.

That's quite a question on your first post.

Stabilizing sails would work on almost any boat to reduce roll.

That's the short answer, but it's not that simple.
The problem is that most power boats don't have the masts and standing rigging (or the structure) to support the sails required to significantly stabilize roll. Having a flybridge makes it even more difficult. It can be done, but in most cases it doesn't make financial sense to retrofit a power boat. You'd be better off buying something with sails, rather than adding them.

One of the TF members - cardude - has recently done a nice steady sail retrofit to his boat, but this boat was designed to have sails from the start, so it worked very well. Even so, it would have been a costly exercise.

I didn't buy a boat with sails because I wanted to sail, (although it is a bonus); I searched for a boat that is stable in rough water, and I couldn't afford a Nordhavn with active fin stabilzation.

Flopper stoppers will do a far better job ,if you are looking to smooth the ride.
