St. John's River (FL) Must Do's

We are going to take the boat from Punta Gorda to Jacksonville later this month. While in the area we would also like cruise the St. John's River and are wondering what there is to do or see.

We are marina people and "do not intend to intentionally anchor" (stole that line from someone in here).
 
Just at the west end of Lake George is a pretty little spring that is worth a look. You'd probably need to dinghy into it. Blue Springs State Park is worth a visit. I'm afraid both places would require intentional anchoring.


I don't think you can get your boat up river far enough but I love the Jolly Gator Fish Camp where SR 46 crosses the St. Johns River. Frog legs as big as a Barbie Dolls legs (that's what the waitress said) and the worlds best Swamp Cabbage.
