No issue getting a 5 foot draft boat into Indian Key / Russel Pass / Everglades City. Done it several times. Also been far into LSR past the traditional anchorage, very beautiful. The ebb current on the Barron River and a few of the pases really rips, by the way. We've anchored around that whole area, using 7 feet on the chart as the cut off, in a Grand Banks 49MY and a Hatteras 56MY. We always went outside, however in those boats rather than the Coon Key Pass / Goodland Route and never trusted the chart for Cape Romano Shoals.
