Southport NC - Weather/ICW Briefing

We really like the Marina in Southport, NC. Have started stopping there instead of Bald Head. I had read online they had a weather/ICW briefing during fall transit season at 6PM every night.

Was through there last week and decided to attend the briefing.

Was extremely well done. Very knowledgeable person (retired Navy meteorologist I think) who delivered a wealth of valuable information.

Walked away with handouts and a much deeper knowledge of weather and the ICW.

If you go through the area in the Fall, highly recommend taking the time to participate.

Yep, Hank gave an excellent briefing when we went through their last year. Helps to send him more info afterwards too, since he can use that to build more into his briefing.

I think he said he does a reverse-direction version in the Spring, but we didn't happen to stop there on our way back.

Never been to one of their briefings, but a really first class operation, one of the best on the eastern seaboard.
