Sea Sled

1981 Hickman Sea Sled powerboat for sale in Massachusetts

Not really a trawler, and a horror to look at, but a piece of history. I saw her run years ago b/4 she was slightly damaged in a fire on a adjacent boat and taken out of service. Although I doubt the claim of a trip to Bermuda on her own bottom, she did run nicely. The whole Hickman story is very interesting.

Did that rig used to be at Seaport Landing Marina in Lynn during the 80's?

That looks like a cross between a Maritimo and a used travel trailer stuck on a flat bottom barge. MAN it is ugly.

Looks like a trawler ran into a sea plane and knocked the floats out from under it. The proud captain will only dock at night or in the fog I am sure
