Bruce B - I think it's unlikely you could pull multiple cleats out of the dock without a running start. That presumes you'd be on your boat anyway so it's probably faster to untie from aboard than to grab a knife and cut, what? Six lines? Plus dumping your power cord.
 
I think Trawler Living FB page had a drone video of that fire. Sobering.
 
nothing burns hotter and faster than a fiberglass boat. Get it under control immediately , or get away if possible. Wood boats don't burn anywhere near as fast as FG. Fire retardant resin boats excluded.
 
Somebody mentioned just starting and pulling the cleats out of the dock. I have been wondering if that might be an option...
Is a boat like ours strong enough to pull out 10" or 12" cleats that are through bolted on a wooden dock???
Maybe a sharp knife is a better option???
