My stainless rudder shaft sits in a stainless cup socket in the skeg, and not a cutlass bearing. Being below the waterline what type brand of grease should I use? The socket does not have a zerk fitting and since I have it apart now I want to grease it. Thank you all.

Mine will have a bronze pintle bearing with stainless shaft so I was thinking something teflon based. Lanolin would work and be more friendly to the environment.
