Fire Extinguisher Recall!

This came across my desk today- please take the time to read and check your fire fighting gear.

Important Information for Boat and Yacht Insureds

To our agents and brokers:

Please share the following important information with your boat and yacht insureds:
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall notice for Kidde disposable plastic fire extinguishers, including 31 models with a manufacture date between July 23, 2013 through October 15, 2014, "due to failure to discharge".
Full details and contact information can be found at the following link:

Kidde Recalls Disposable Plastic Fire Extinguishers Due to Failure to Discharge | CPSC.gov

Please check the fire extinguishers on your boat or yacht as soon as possible and take the appropriate action if this recall applies to your equipment.
If this recall does not apply to your fire extinguishers, this still may be a good time to check all those extinguishers onboard your vessel and service as needed.

Fill out the information online and 3 weeks later I have 3 new fire extinguishers to replace some bought in 2013. Very nice!

All mine were bad, so I went to Wal-Mart and bought 5 new ones.

Thanks Pete!
