Pacific Panama & Costa Rica Marinas

Hi Guys,

Looks like we will start of transit of the Canal tomorrow.

My tentative plan is to head to Costa Rica immediealty, as I must leave Dauntless for a month. I am looking at the Golfito area on the River Dulce.

However, it does seem expensive, $1.50 to 2.50 per foot per day. That's a lot over a month's time.

So I would like to see if anyone has any other ideas??

I'm open to leaving it in Panama, but don't think I can get further north than Costa Rica in the time I have before leaving, nor do I want to.

Suggestions??

Richard: The best and cheapest in CR is Land and Sea, Golfito. We stopped for a night and spent a week.

Land Sea Marina Services, Yacht Maintenance, Golfito, Costa Rica

Here's a good source of information that's pretty current.

Where are you now, Shelter Bay?

The moorings at BYC are $30/day I believe.

Another mooring option would be Taboga Island Moorings. Call Chuy at 6442-5712 or tabogaislandmoorings@gmail.com

Cheap, secure and a short ferry ride to Panama City.
