Over the road transport for a 34' Chien Wah

Has anyone tried it? I'm looking a a 34 Chien Wah on the east coast that needs transported to Ohio. Height is the concern. Is it possible to remove flybridge? Any suggestions.....

My sister trawler to yours was transported from Tenn to Ohio. I know the fly bridge was removed. It was before I bought it.

I prepped my sons 34 Marine Trader for overland transport from New Orleans to Lake Erie. We put the flybridge on the foredeck (with a constructed supporting framework) and that left about 6" to spare for overhead clearance. This was 2 years ago and the overland transport costs were about $3200. I had to wait a couple of months until the transporter had a 2-way haul lined up. I had the travellift haul the boat onto the truck and then we lifted the flybridge and set it on the foredeck. Ben

Rob, more than welcome. We've only had it for a couple months. Currently in water in Aurora, Indiana. I am trying to document my refit/repair in the blog:

We have a Grand Banks 36 that was trucked from Green Bay Wis. to Anacortes Washington and the fly bridge did not have to come off.
