Hi to all,

We are looking for a liveaboard vessel, some of the boats we're looking at are in other states. The question we have is, should we use the boats listing broker to the make the deal or should we contact a local broker to intercede on our behalf? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Get a buyer's broker

Never use the listing broker, he/she will have an inherent conflict of interest. It will cost you nothing to have your own broker do the negotiating. If you pick a good one, you will come out far, far ahead. There is also no reason to pick a broker in the vicinity of the listed boat. Just find a good broker in your area that you can trust and they can take it from there.
