Criminy....I get grossed out if a slug shows up on my sidewalk. I'd have a stroke if one of those wandered by.

Star: You were worried about your Direct TV before, right? Well, don't be. You have the Animal Planet channel in your backyard. Lol

That's the one thing I miss about living in Florida - the crazy exotic nature! I've seen dead monkeys on the side of the road hit by cars, big iguanas running around the backyard, and after hurricane Andrew, there were tigers, leopards and other big cats that got out running around - I didn't see them, but I did see the helicopter flying around shooting them dead (my uncle's neighbor raised them in Homestead).

Now you guys have killer anaconda and swarms of lion fish - yep, never a dull moment

I doubt you have much of a problem with duck and goose poop on swim platforms and docks...

As a native Floridian I'm generally not too bothered by gators (the real ones, not the ones from the "school" in Gainesville). I do keep my dog away from them if they are over 5'. But the biggest alligator I've ever seen was in Louisiana. We were duck hunting near the mouth of the Mississippi near main pass and saw it sunning on a bank next to a dry spot where a guy was running a few cows. Fifteen feet if it was an inch. There was a mud chute where it looked like it had dragged a cow down into the water. Insane.

A few days before we saw the gator, we were visited by this sickly raccoon. Think it might have had distemper. Itís since disappeared. I hope someone put it out of its misery. We couldnít find anyone who had a quiet gun or a humane way to kill it.

Well, here in Florida with the toxic algae and the ride tide, oil well spills and the over development, over fertilizing, and really old septic tanks, we are trying to get rid of as much of the wild live as possible.
