Revamping the creature comforts

Okay my husband Mike or better known as Bilgewater on this site posts things constantly so I thought I would give it a whirl. Needless to say he takes care of all the mechanical "renovations" for a better word on our 1973 Gulfstar Trawler, where as I have taken over the "creature comforts" of the boat. I have made all new cushions, revamped the galley, the forepeak and the salon, and the state room and soon to be finishing the head. I agreed to move on board our boat (summer of 2014) and sell our home as long as I could do the "decorating" for a better word. Attached are some of the before and after shots taken more to follow. When we took possession of the ole girl she looked like the 70's had thrown up in her. I needed something a bit more airy and bright.

More pictures from the revamp of creature comforts

Okay all the photos didn't load from my first post so attached are the rest of them. It's definitely starting to be more like home.

Very nice improvement. Bilgewater has been one of my favorite names on this site. Now I feel like the loop has closed!

Fine pictures, and great job of decorating. That said, I sure am glad that my girlfriend does not read this forum, as she would most likely say something girlish like "Why doesn't your boat look like that!" :-)
