Canadian Customs Needs Input From Nexus Holders

English Version *** La version française suit ***
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is conducting a public consultation regarding proposed amendments to Regulations under the Customs Act governing Trusted Traveller Programs (TTPs). The amendments will clarify the eligibility criteria that will replace the good character provision, the conditions of the authorizations, and the circumstances leading to suspension and cancellation of membership.
The CBSA website provides detailed information on the changes, as well as the rationale behind them.
As a valued stakeholder, you can provide your feedback on these changes by replying to this email no later than 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on August 19, 2016.
Regards,
Program and Policy Management Division

To clarify, it is not JUST Nexus Holders...

"Members of Trusted Traveller Programs, future applicants, the general public, other government departments and stakeholders can provide their feedback on the Regulations governing the CBSA's Trusted Traveller Programs."

Thanks for the link. Canada has done a good job from what I can tell to expand their trusted traveler program beyond just the Nexus program. Some of the options they have now are very convenient. I will definitely give some feedback.

Global entry isn't an alternative to Nexus. I dealt with this just last week when heading over the border. The guy I was with had global entry, which isn't a trusted traveler entry program for Canada.
